No-Bake Nutella Cheesecake

How is it the middle of March already!?  This is officially the last time I'll reference Valentine's Day this year, I promise.  But I wanted to share our V-Day dessert because it was SO easy.  And forgiving when you realize you've forgotten to buy one of the main ingredients.  Oops.

The original recipe is made in small spring form pans, but I don't own those.
I do have a regular spring form pan, and was originally gonna use that, but decided to stick with the individuals.
It made enough to fill five dessert dishes, plus three little mason jars.

You can find the recipe here:

So remember the ingredient I mentioned forgetting to buy?
It was the heavy cream.
But I faked it.
I used regular milk, and just happened to have a tub of whipped cream in the fridge, so I folded in a good sized glop of that.
It probably made the consistency more mousse-like than it was supposed to be, but I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing.

Here they are coming together at my house:

I pressed some of the crust mixture into the bottoms and sides of the dessert dishes.

These are the jars I used for the remaining ingredients.

Next up, the Nutella filling.

And that's it.
Stick 'em in the fridge until you're ready to serve.
I put a dollop of whipped cream and a strawberry heart on top.

And there ya have it.
The last of the 2015 Valentine's Day dinner at home posts.

  2. Can you believe that I have gone 46 years without ever having tried Nutella until just last month? Needless to say I'm a huge fan now and definitely trying this recipe. Perhaps for lunch. :)

  6. Oh these would be a hit in our house and they look pretty easy to make. I love your pedestal dessert cups ~ I'm guessing they are vintage. I'm glad March is here, just because.
