The Back Bed

The electric company is going to be replacing the pole in front of our house today, which means no electricity.  Which means no computer, no phone (no cell remember), no music, no oven, no nothin'.  I think the girl's and I will take a long walk before it gets hot (supposed to hit 90 today) and then spend the rest of the day in the yard.  Sounds like a plan.

These pictures are some I took in the backyard a week or so ago.  After the week of sun we've had, things have definitely made some progress.  I'm sure I'll be out with my camera today.

  4. My Mt. Bluet is blooming now, too! I love the deep blue flowers. I grow mine down in the curb strip on the street, and they do just fine down there without supplemental water other than rain. Your garden looks lovely!

  5. What a nice area you've got here! I have to ask, though- I love the look of the ladder with the potted plants, but is watering a chore with them? I never want little pots I have to water a lot, which of course is why I don't have one of these great ladder gardens that look so cute in your bed. ;-)
