Grilled Garlic & Herb Shrimp

It's time for another Pinterest food shout out.  Actually, the shout out goes to the blog Envie for posting the recipe.  There's three shrimp recipes in the same post.  I pinned them all, but this is the only one I've made so far.

You may recall I don't eat shrimp.  I want to like it.  I REALLY want to like it.  But it does this weird popping thing in my mouth when my teeth break through the the skin, so I just can't do it.  This marinade smelled amazing though, and I was super tempted to throw a piece of chicken or something in with the shrimp.

Ah well, The Dad and The Kids enjoyed it immensely and that's why I made it in the first place.  Awww, such a nice mommy/wifey.  Yeah whatever, I got cheesy garlic bread (another Pinterest recipe), pasta and salad, so I didn't make out too bad.

For the record, I took a bite.  Then I did what any normal five-year-old would do and shoved a piece of bread in my mouth so I wouldn't gag.

Here's the little critters comin' together at my house:

Have you headed over for the recipe yet?

Here's the rest of our dinner:

Penne with garlic, feta and basil.

Garlic Parmesan Pull-Apart Bread.
And yes, I will most definitely be doing a post on this.

Here's dinner on The Dad's plate:

Pistachio pudding for dessert.
