Random Thoughts & Tidbits: Part 15

  • Having a really bad cold, and feeling like a big pile of crap, when you have kids, blows.
  • My BIL (The Dad's brother) is Phil Dunphy.  Not really, but really.
  • A month or so ago, we got Chinese take-out.  The kids were super excited to read their fortunes.  The Girl wanted to know what fortune she got.  The Kid responded with, "You don't get a fortune, you make one."
  • I have no idea who, or what, Honey Boo Boo is.
  • What is it exactly that Meatloaf won't do for love?
  • Is it normal for geese to be migrating late at night in the dark?
  • Remember when last year at this time, I said I'd have my Etsy shop up and running by the new year?
  • Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.
  • I'm gonna bust out the shotgun if the fruit flies don't stay out of my dang wine.
  • I love, love, love the smell of skunk.
  • Canned soup (with the exception of tomato) makes me throw up in my mouth a little.
  • I made some jalapeno popper sammies a while back, but the pictures sucked, so I didn't post them.  Basically, you oven roast some sliced jalapenos until they're soft and have some crispy bits.  Smear some cream cheese on some yummy bread.  Pile on the jalapenos.  Add some grated cheddar and some crispy bacon.  Spread butter on the outside and grill those puppies up. Amazingly delicious.
  • $$$ don't mean no thang.
  • So far, the best part of the new kitchen is, stepping on a chewed up, mushy, dried apricot in the living room, bending over to peel it off my sock, then standing back up and chucking it through two rooms and having it land in the sink.  It's the little things.
  • My new favorite napkin quote:  "I thank God for my children every day.  Without them, I'd never have known how well red wine complements chicken nuggets."

  3. Very funny :-). I also have issues with fruit flies in my wine as well. It ruins a perfect evening on the front porch!

  4. You are too funny. I remember how pathetic I could feel trying to keep up with the kids when I was sick. Score on the apricot in the sink! Your son is wise but it would be nice to "get" a fortune! Tomato soup is the only one from the can I like. Ahh...wine and chicken nuggets! Who knew? We were besieged with fruit flies but it's finally calmed down. I hope you feel better soon!

  9. Too funny. Do not waste your time with Honey Boo Boo, it's such a brain suck - I'm really missing the 20 minutes I'll never get back when I saw them on the Steve Harvey show - your kitchen looks amazing! Love the lights you choose.
