Easter Project Roundup

Everyone geared up for tomorrow?  We're expecting record high temps for today and tomorrow.  Mid 70's.  How exciting is that?!

I thought I'd pop in and share some of the things we've done for Easter in the past.  Including a table setting from when I hosted the dinner.  My sis is hosting this year and I'm in charge of appetizers.  I'm still debating on what to make.  Hmmm, I had better get on that.

So let's start with the table, shall we?  I made a runner out of Easter grass, then tucked in candles, plastic eggs, chocolate bunnies and lots of flowers.  There was a centerpiece and each place setting got a mini bouquet.

How's about desserts next?  I have yet to post the recipe for the most delicious carrot cake in the world, but here it is in all its glory.

This next sweet treat is one of my favorite desserts in the world.  I made it last year - my mom's bringin' it this year.  SO good.

And what would Easter be without decorated sugar cookies?
This is the only recipe I ever make and it's the best.
I've got the dough and frosting made, and we'll be baking and decorating with the kiddos sometime today.

Sugar Cookies With Buttercream Frosting

I bought these egg-shaped marshmallows on a whim last year.
We smeared peanut butter on them, then dunked them in chocolate.
They didn't suck.

We still haven't boiled any eggs yet.
Bad mommy.
We'll see if we get to it before the day is over.
If you're waiting until the last minute like me, try out the Kool-Aid method.
My post tells you which flavors worked and which ones were a waste of time.

These potatoes work for breakfast, brunch, or dinner.
My aunt is bringin' 'em this year.
One of my all-time favorite side dishes.

And if you're up for a fun Easter morning breakfast for the kids, these bunnies were super easy.
All ya need is a tube of cinnamon rolls.

There ya have it.
Wishing you and yours a happy Easter weekend.
You can find me out in the dirt, enjoying the sunshine.
Happy Easter!
