This post brought to you by Arby's. All opinions are 100% mine.
Ya'll know our kitchen has been torn up for a really long time. A. really. long. time. Like, we're pushin' two months. Longer if you go back to when we originally discovered the leaky pipe in the wall. So when someone's offering the chance to take the night off from cooking in a construction zone, I'm jumping up and down, with both hands in the air, yelling, pick me, pick me! I want the night off from cooking!
Enter Arby's. I can still remember being in high school, and BEGGING my girlfriend's mom to take us. "Beef n' Cheddar's better." I still can't say the name of that sandwich without using the whole slogan. And the curly fries. And the sauce. It's all about the sauce.
So they've got a couple new sammies on the menu that have The Dad's name all over them. The Grand Turkey club and the Grand Turkey Ham Club. Meat, meat, and more meat. Turkey, ham, pepper bacon, mayo, lettuce, tomato and, my favorite part, Swiss cheese. Being the giving person that I am, I let him pick which Club he wanted to try out, (the one with ham, of course). I, on the other hand, was having mouth-watering visions of the Beef and Cheddar.
Here's The Mom's night off in photos:
And yes, The Dad tore that club sandwich up.
In fact, he was supposed give me a bite.
Then I looked over and it was gone. Gone. Seriously?!
Ah well, I probably wouldn't have shared mine either.
Check out the onion ring on the right.
I didn't even know they HAD onion rings!
The Kid discovered that little tidbit of info.
Mmmm, curly fries.
And last, the necessary mixing of the sauces.
It's required.
Just sayin'.
If anyone else is interested in giving me the night off in the kitchen, I'm excepting all offers.
And if you're needing the night off, you can always get Arby's to cook dinner.
I think I would have to take most nights off, maybe except Thursday, if I were doing a complete kitchen remodel!! Cuddos to you!!!
ReplyDeleteI haven't had Arby's in forever but I remember loving their roast beef sandwiches when I was a kid.
ReplyDeleteThose look pretty good,Mindy. I can't eat their fried potatoes though without getting terrible heartburn. xo Diana
