Warm Peach Dumplings

Remember when I said baked peach desserts weren't my favorite? Just kidding.

Holy, wow.  You know when you make something for the first time, and after taking that first bite, you're trying to come up with reasons to make it for everyone you know?  Or you run to the computer to get pictures of it off your camera so you can bump every other planned post to the back of the line to share the recipe on your blog?

This has officially become my new go-to dessert, and I literally just finished inhaling it for the first time five minutes ago.

You can thank my mom for emailing me the recipe.

Warm Peach Dumplings
Printable Recipe
Makes 8 dumplings

1 peach
8 oz tube crescent rolls
1 stick butter, melted
3/4 C sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
Cinnamon
3/4 C orange juice

Cut your peach in half, remove pit, and cut into eight slices.  Roll your peach slices up in the crescent rolls and place in a buttered pan. (Just put a little of your melted butter down in it.)

Add sugar to melted butter and stir just until combined.  Stir in vanilla.  Pour over peaches.

Pour the orange juice in the pan and sprinkle cinnamon on everyone.

Bake at 350 for 40 minutes.

Serve warm, with vanilla ice cream if you're feeling really gluttonous.

Are you kidding me?!
So flippin' good.

Here's The Dad's on his plate:

I wanted mine in a bowl so I could have a proper vessel for all the extra buttery-sugary-orangy goodness.

I have pears comin' out my ears.
I think a couple of them may need to be sacrificed for this recipe.
And then apples.
And plums.
And bananas.
And pineapple.
Run, run, run to the kitchen and make these!
Go now!

P.S.  I have no clue why some of my text has a white background.
P.P.S.  The Dad is marking on the subfloor with a Sharpie everywhere there's a wall stud.
Do you know what that means?
The first piece of sheetrock is about to be cut.
I'm off to be chief screwer.
Or something like that.

Please see my sidebar for the parties I link up to.

  5. I think these look delicious! They look really easy too.

I have had issues with my text being highlighted in posts. It happens when I cut and paste text. So I don't cut and paste anymore. I just delete and start typing all over again. It ticks me off.
