Enchanted Forest

The Dad took last Friday off so that we could take the kids to the Enchanted Forest.  My sister's family had been talking about going since last year, so we finally just did it.  It's only about an hour south of us, so the road trip wasn't bad for a day's outing.  The kids had a BLAST.  They loved every bit of it.

Here's our day in photos:

This next picture is the bottom of the roller coaster, that I did NOT go on.
But right next to it is the log ride, that I DID get forced to go on.
Holy hell.
I friggin' HATE roller coasters.
HATE them.
The log ride was a roller coaster with water.
I nearly had a heart attack and then got soaking wet.
Good times.
My sister took pictures.
I'm sure my face says it all.
I will post them when I get them.

Next up are pictures of the haunted house.
From the outside.
Again, I HATE haunted houses.
I hate being scared.
The kids needed someone to go with them, so my sister and I went.
We paid our tickets, walked in the door, the door closed behind us, and I was in pitch blackness.
I was on the cusp of an anxiety attack.
I stood there, frozen, trying to get the kids, who had run ahead, to hold my hand.
Needless to say, I got the frick outta there.
We made the dads take the kids.
Screw that noise.

Too scary for this chick.

But overall, everyone had a good time and I'd say it was definitely worth the dollars spent.
I'll be back in another post with pictures from the after party at my sister's house.
Which, of course, involved food.
Lots and lots of food.

Please check out my sidebar for the parties I link up to.

  1. Oh how fun! I am glad you had a great time! We went on a whim about a month ago when we found ourselves with nothing to do after my parents moved. I love roller coasters but I didn't love their roller coaster, it was sketchy ~ like I can't believe we let our kids ride on that thing. Otherwise, the place is perfect for kids. We'll entertain them there until they outgrow it.

  6. How fun! This places looks like a fun day for families. Chris hates roller coasters too. Like, HATES them. Our kids have to wait to go on stuff when either I'm feeling brave or Uncle Jay is there to take them. haha
