Okay, I think that's an oxymoron. But, as of yesterday, we've crossed the six-pound threshold. Six pounds, five ounces to be exact. She'll be crawling before we know it.

What The???
Every day after putting The Girl down for a nap, I go back in when she's asleep and make sure she's covered up.
This is what I found yesterday:
Did you see it?
Here's a closer look:
And closer:
Yes, that's a hair clip.
After stifling my snort laugh, I ran to get my camera.
She'll hate me for this someday.
Seriously though, what in the world?!?!
Look at the mark it left:
Yeah, she's a little different.

New Recipe Night: Fail
There is nothing worse than taking a bunch of pictures of yummy looking food for a post and then taking that first bite, only to realize it sucks. Like bad. In the 10 years that I've known him, not once has The Dad ever not eaten what was put in front of him. Never. He's never made a negative comment about something I've made. Until now. Tonight, he told me the recipe should go in the garbage. The kids wouldn't eat more than the first bite. I, however, ate all of mine. I thought it was edible. Not good, but edible. And since I wasted extremely precious time today taking the pictures, I'm posting them anyway. 'Cause that's how I roll. Pretend it tasted good, 'kay?
Anyone have any suggestions for making an entire baking dish full of bad pasta taste good?
The 3-Week Old
Wow, what happened to last week? The Mom has been a wee bit busy with her role as milk cow over here, so I apologize if I haven't replied to emails or stopped by your blog. I've literally become one with the couch. Which would be fine if I was the sit around and do nothing type. I am not. It makes me crazy when the "chores" pile up. But Baby was back up to her birth weight at her two-week appointment last week, so the indentation in the cushion is paying off.
Here's a few pics of the sweetest little baby girl in the land, snugglin' with her big sis' this morning:
Here ya go Shasta:
Off to prep dinner while I have the chance.....

Signs Of Spring
Looking out the windows, the garden is still a completely barren landscape. BUT, upon closer inspection, the signs of life are starting to appear!
Primroses
Hellebores
Daffodils
Daphne
Forsythia
Heather
And so it begins....
