Simple Thankful Tree

Hey kids.  Thought I'd pop in and share this easy project with ya. We've never done any thankful crafts at our house, and I figured it was high time we teach these little brats that they have a lot of things in their lives to appreciate.  Hahahahaha  That was supposed to be funny.

I drew the tree onto our kitchen chalkboard door, but you could do it on poster board, craft paper, whatever you've got.  I've even seen the leaves hanging on branches stuck into a vase, and that's super cute, too.

I stuck ours on with regular tape.

I just free-handed the leaves onto some scrapbook paper from my stash, but if you need help, you can download a printable here.  If you're feeling creative, fold your paper in half and draw half of your leaf shape on. When you cut it out, it will be perfectly symmetrical. Ya know, if you're into that sorta thing.

I wrote a few things down to start it off.  The Kid added a few, and The Girl added one.  There's plenty of leaves to add things as they pop into their little ungrateful heads.  ;o)

Waking up to hot coffee in the morning does not suck at all.

So that's our Thankful Tree so far.

I think this will be the start of a new tradition at our house.

And on that note, I'm cooking dinner for my buddy's family and his parents tonight, so off I go....
