White Wine & Garlic Steamed Clams

My parents brought us a bucket of clams and oysters from Puget Sound Monday.  The deal was we had to share with my sister's family.  So dinner was at their house last night.  I was responsible for making the clams.  The boys grilled the oysters.  My sister made gnocchi, salad and bread.  Which I inhaled.  Since I don't eat things that live in shells.  (although the broth was delicious with my loaf two slices of bread)

Here's our dinner in photos:

The kids ate a few of the clams, but for the most part, the two dad's ate their way through that enormous bowl.

This is what was left when they decided to use their 'phone a friend' option.

The friend gladly obliged and showed up to finish them off.

  1. Mmmmmm,....that all looks fabulous. I can smell that sauce on the shellfish and the gnocci. Mmmmmm,...this is killing me. I must go eat something now. Oysters are so weird-looking, aren't they?!
