The Third Week Of April In The Garden

Surprise, I have more plant pictures.  I told ya it was hard to keep up this time of year.

Let's start with the wood hyacinth.  I have white, blue, and pink, but somehow managed to skip pictures of the pink one.  I suppose they're kind a weedy, but they're one of my favorite spring bulbs.

All my little evergreens are getting new fuzz.
It's so cute, I just want to pat, pat them every time I walk out there.

The neighbor's rhody, that hangs over our back fence, is in full bloom and just solid flowers.

The blueberries are blooming now.

The kids planted snap pea, carrot and radish seeds a few weeks ago and they're all up now.

Nelly Moser is comin' along.

All but one of my fuchsias overwintered.

I repotted the little choke cherry that I had dug up at the Rock Farm and he's blooming.
So cute.

Violets, violets, and more violets.
They're naughty, but so pretty.

Another one of my little maples.

The sage that's goin' crazy.

Some random backyard shots.

This sucker has never bloomed so good.

And outside the front fence, along with the things I've already posted, the creepin' phlox is goin' now, too.

And last, but not least, one of my top five favorite parts of spring.
The snowball viburnum.
It's not in full bloom yet, but the greenish buds are so pretty, I couldn't help myself.

Are ya still with me?
I have some new additions to the yard, but they haven't had their photo-op yet.
It's supposed to be dry today, (and warm all week!) so I'll be out in the dirt, camera in tow.

Please check out my side bar for the parties I link up  to.

  4. So many wonderous plants! Many that I don't grow as it's probably too hot here. I think the purple phlox is my fav. Enjoy your time outdoors!

  5. Again, I repeat, you are really gardening on five acres! I don't know how you get all of that loveliness in a suburban backyard. Amazing! Beautiful pictures and beautiful garden!
