Does a lowly annual deserve its own post? I think so. I've mentioned that I rediscovered Cleome this year. I used to grow it all the time in my "early years." Whatever that means. I don't know why I hadn't bought it in so long. It randomly jumped into my cart this spring and I'm so glad it did. I'm sort of in love with it. It reminds me of fireworks.
I remember it used to reseed by itself, and babies would come up every spring.
I'll save seeds, just in case nature doesn't do its thing.
The white one is more photogenic, but I love them both in the garden.
Aren't they cool?
Shameless plug alert:
Just a little reminder that you can purchase my floral photographs in my Etsy shop.
If you see one in a post that isn't in the shop, shoot me an email and I'll list it for ya.

ReplyDeleteWow a garden tour!! I've been told I should do one but don't know anything about it plus I'd be a wreck! The Cleome is so pretty- I don't know that plant. I'll have to see if it's one that will come back here.
ReplyDeleteMindy I love the cleome especially the white. I don't plant these enough.

Only you, my friend, can make a "lowly" annual like Cleome shine with dignity. Your photos are exquisite. I need a bigger garden.
