The Girl was invited to her bestie's birthday party and immediately wanted to find a horse craft to make for the birthday girl. She did a Google search, found the one she wanted to make, and I really only helped a little bit. The rest was done on her own.
All you need is some heavy card stock or paper plates (we used plates), scissors, clothespins, yarn, and pens, crayons, or colored pencils to decorate your horse. Or whatever other animal you want to make. It would be cute for anything with legs. :)
I free-handed (clearly) the horses' bodies and heads separately, only because the plate centers weren't big enough for the whole thing. The Girl cut them out and taped them together. Then she did the rest by herself. Faces and bodies were drawn on and colored. Tails and mane were cut out of yarn and glued on. Then two standard sized clothespins for the mama, and two smaller ones for the baby. Easy peasy.
I know I'm a little partial, but I think they're so dang cute. Even if baby sorta looks like Alf.
And there ya go, somethin' to keep the rugrats busy for a few minutes.
This is a crazy cute craft! My kids would love to make these :0)
ReplyDeleteMy youngest son brought home a 'clothes pin' craft a few weeks ago. It was an airplane made with card stock and clothes pins. Too cute! I love these inexpensive craft projects :0)
Have a great weekend,
