Those of you who've been around awhile, know I make ornaments every year for all the kids in the family.
As is typical, I hit up Pinterest for some inspiration, and these are what I came up with.
First up, for the boys, we've got some silly little burlap reindeer.
I started out using a tutorial online, but after being on the verge of throwing things, I just winged it and did it my own way.
I had some extra wide burlap ribbon in my stash, but it all had printed patterns on it.
So, I just cut it into thinner strips and used the reverse side.
The antlers are from the neighbor's parking strip tree.
The eyes are brads.
The noses are little wired pick things that you'd find in the Christmas decor section of a craft store.
Everything I used was something I already had.
It all went together with a hot glue gun.
For the girls, I did snow globes.
I had originally wanted to recreate some cute ones I saw done in mini jars, but both times I hit up Joann's, they were sold out.
So again, I winged it and found little covered cake pedestals in the Christmas craft section.
I didn't want to use the pedestal part, so I had The Dad cut bases with his hole saw.
The trees are scrapbook paper from my stash, cut by hand and glued together.
The snow is fine glitter.
Again, the trusty glue gun did most of the work.
So there ya have it.
2015's Christmas ornaments.
Now, I'm racing back to my to-do list......
So adorable! I think I'm gonna make the reindeer one, as I just got some burlap. Cool!
