Ladybug Party

Finally, right?  There were a lot of pictures to go through.  I always put my brother-in-law in charge of photos for things like this 'cause he has a fancy camera and is better at taking pics than I am.  Unfortunately, he left his camera at home.  Way ta go Uncle Sherwin.  Just kidding.  He still took a lot of the food pictures and did a good job with my point and shoot.  I took most of the people shots and of course, none of them turned out good.  Lame.  I also took the ones of the table set up in the dining room and I'm not in love with any of those either.  Ah well, such is life.

I'll put links to everything I made at the end of the post.

So here we go......

I set up a drink station on the dresser I just recently moved to the living room.
It actually worked out pretty good.
I made Strawberry Lemonade by adding fresh strawberry puree to lemonade.
The kids drank way more than they should have.
I also had a pitcher of water, red & white wine, and beer.
The red label Session just so happens to be my favorite beer in the world.
I've always liked it, but the recent obsession probably stems from the fact that I can't drink a six-pack of it for at least another three months.
Funny thing is, when I'm not pregnant, I really could care less about beer.
The ladybug banner I made worked out here as well.

I extended the dining room table using the built-in leaf and set up shop there.
All the apps and sweets were set out right before the party started.

I never got a good shot of the fabric banner I made, but here's a peek at it hanging.

I think every person commented on the "mossy rocks".
I got them at the Dollar Store.

Little dishes of red and black licorice.

The Ladybug Crostini.

The Ladybug Brie En Croute with Ritz crackers and fresh raspberries.

A mixed green salad to go with the main course.

Five-Cheese Lasagna.

My sister's Fruit Dip recipe.
Two ingredients and it's delicious.
I'll share the recipe in another post.

Oreo Truffles.

Cupcakes decorated with the Royal Icing Ladybugs and Flowers that I made.

The Girl blowin' out her candle.

These next ones are blurry, but I love them anyway.

Puttin' on and showin' off her new Ladybug gear.

Although the pictures didn't all turn out to be perfect, the party was.
The Girl had a blast and that's all that really matters.
