The Dad's Birthday Dinner

I'm back.  I think.  I could devote an entire post to rambling about what I've been doing, but I'm behind on my pictures, so on with the show.

Before I disappeared, I mentioned the dinner that my sister and brother-in-law put together for The Dad's birthday.  This is that dinner, in photos.   Drinks, appetizers, dinner, dessert, and the fam.

Let's start with the table.

 Do the napkins look familiar?
They're the ones I embroidered that my sister ended up with at our Christmas gift exchange last year.

Speaking of homemade gifts, have I posted pictures of the Nuts & Bolts Monogram in its forever home before?

And the kid table, of course.

Onto the drinks.
The girls drank champagne and the boys had Pepper Jelly Margarita.

Next up, the appetizers.

Boy talk.

The main event.
I'll link to the recipes she made.
Uh-mazing dinner.

You're drooling, right?
Sooo good.

Okay, so I posted this pie already, but here's another look.
One of my new faves, the Banoffee Pie.

Hang time.

Present time.

Randomness.

I spy another DIY Christmas gift.

And last, The Mom, chillin'.

Nothin' quite like bein' MIA for a week and then comin' back to shove 900 pictures down your throat, eh?
I didn't take any pictures while I was gone.
 Until Saturday night.
My sister had her annual Fall party.
Oh dear lord, the food.
You just wait.
I also made a new pumpkin bread recipe that is bomb diggity, so if there's any left by this afternoon, I'll get some pics and post the recipe.
So.  Good.
Annnnd, I got a weekly menu put together for the first time in, I don't know how long.
Plenty of food posts in the near future and I'll post the menu, like the good old days.
Thanks for givin' me the week off.
We needed it.

Please check out my sidebar for the parties I link up to.
