I'll be posting each project as I finish it with either a tutorial, a link to directions, or a recipe, whatever the case may be. I will not name the gift in the title of the post because I have friends and members of my family who read my blog and I don't want to spoil the surprise. Each post will have a title something like, DIY Christmas Gift #1. There will also be a text warning at the top of each post for trespassers.
If you are not expecting a gift from me, you are more than welcome to follow along. I have several ideas on my Christmas Gifts 2011 Pinterest board. NO PEEKING at the board if you're related to me by blood or marriage. I also have a board that is just gift ideas in general. Some are homemade and some are things you can purchase. Click here for that board. If you still need help coming up with something, I'm also part of a collaborate board titled DIY Handmade Gifts. There's tons of ideas on it from other pinners as well. Again, if you're related to me, you probably don't want to go sniffin' around that board either.
Okay, so there you have it. Keep your eyes out over the coming weeks for things you can put together to spread some cheer with a short amount of time and money. I have my first one finished and I've been working on number two, so the posts will be rollin' out soon.
If you're just lookin' for some ho-ho-ho, I've got a Christmas board you can stare at while listening to Bing sing White Christmas. That happens to be one of my all-time favorite movies, by the way.
Happy Holidays!
I saw your first pic and thought you had put up your Christmas tree already, lol. One of my friends just put hers up...I'm so jealous. I've got to start making my decorations. Just finished another paint chip project/Christmas present (still gotta take pics of it, tho). Do you have a hidden camera on your blog somewhere to see who reads it? Gotta keep those relatives away!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait,...I'll be needing all the help I can get.
ReplyDeleteA handmade Christmas sounds wonderful... sounds like you're going to be super busy! I'm going to follow you and will be looking forward to the upcoming posts! Have fun!
ReplyDeleteSo many ideas arent' there. I have so many pinned now that i don't know what to do.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with them.
Great ideas. (Just popping over from Natasha's Five Minutes Just For me.)

Wonderful ideas and my Christmas pin board is also getting mighty full! Visiting from Natasha's.
ReplyDeleteI love all of these gorgeous pins, I just wish I was as crafty as you are! I am so hopeless at wrapping I tend to buy those fancy gift bags and lots of tissue paper. I do think I could cope with the brown paper and foliage from the garden-I like that a lot!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing these pins and of course for linking up to my Pinning party. I know there are heaps of linky parties out there so I am truly honoured that you chose to link up to mine :)
Best wishes and take care,
Natasha.
