Mindy's Reubens

My neighbor swears I make the best Reuben sandwich ever.  I'd love to say I have some secret that makes them better than any other, but I don't.  I've got nothin' special to share.  Basic ingredients.  Rye bread, pastrami (I always use turkey pastrami), swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and 1000 Island dressing.  Layer it all on and bake it until it's hot and gooey.  One of my favorite sandwiches.

Here's dinner on my plate:

  1. Hi Mindy,
I've been so busy lately and haven't visited you for a while, so I had to go back now to check out your latest posts.
Thank you so much for the award! And I'm so glad to know your family liked the cheese puffs ;-)
You are going to have a new baby! How wonderful! We are about to start solid foods with mine.
Your pear cake looks delicious, and the pancakes sound so good. I bookmarked the recipes.
    Have a wonderful week!
