Starting this blog was genius from a selfish stand point. I don't know why I didn't do it years ago. I can ramble my face off, alone, in a dark corner of my bedroom. If no one likes, or cares, what I have to say, I still gain the satisfaction of fulfilling a much needed outlet. Without the cost of a shrink.
There's an end - and a point - to this post, I swear. But first, I want to say thank you to each one of you who publicly - and silently (yes, I know you're there) - stalk me. Who'd a thunk complete strangers would show up in my bedroom (clearly not literally - unless you've taken stalking to the next level and set up surveillance) to read, or scroll down to photos, everyday?! There are a ZILLION blogs out there, and the fact that you take the time to read mine, and leave such nice comments, blows my mind.
There are several of you that I hear from daily, and I've come to look forward to your words. I'm not a hugger in real life, but this is me sending you virtual hugs. If you were closer, I'd have you over for dinner and drinks on the deck.
For those of you have read through this entire thing, the torture is nearly over.
For those looking for a photo, SLOW YOUR SCROLLING.

It's naht a toomah.
You didn't know I was a Schwarzanegger impersonator, did ya?
So that would be a picture of a teeny tiny little critter, who just so happens to be sucking the life out of me at this very moment.
AKA, The Mom is knocked up.
Again.
It's not everyday that I post pictures of my uterus on the internet.
For those of you who know me in real life, and are freaking the F out right now, uh, yeah, I know.
I did the same thing for about a week and a half.
I think The Dad's freak out moment is still in progress.
Now that I've finally spilled the beans, I will use the opportunity to insert whining into most of my posts.
Ya know, 'cause that's what pregnant chicks are supposed to do, right?
For example, I MISS MY RED WINE.
So there ya have it.
My bit of gossip for the day.
There is a list of excuses a mile long that could completely stress out a person with my personality type.
But the fact is, now that I'm over the initial HOLY (insert naughty word here), I'm super excited.
Prepare yourself.
In about 7 months, this blog will be bombarded with baby pictures.
Congratulations! I wish I myself had taken a picture of hubs face when I told him we were expecting #4. Especially when baby #3 was just a mere 4 months old! Life happens, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteOMG!!! Congrats! Need more room now!! That will be your next project!!! Hahahah!! Are you going to find out the sex????
ReplyDeleteI love baby pictures and I will unselfishly step up to do my part by drinking all of your red wine for you. Hey, that's what virtual friends are for,...no, don't thank me. :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations,....how thrilling! Will you share your due date?
Ahhhhhh! Mindy, that's beautiful! I'm so happy for you and your family. My sister-in-law is 8 weeks along, too! I can't wait for baby pictures. How are you feeling, besides missing the wine?
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!! I am virtually hugging you back! I'd so be over on your patio if I were closer! Drinking the wine that you can't have of course! I know that's really selfish of me but dont worry I'll bring a bottle of Fre Wine (non boozy ) for you!
ReplyDeleteClearly I need to look into this non-alcoholic wine. :o)
ReplyDeleteCongrats Mindy!!!!! So so so happy for you!! I want to see a picture of your bump ...when your little life starts getting bigger :) yeayyyy!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Mindy! I am so happy for you!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Rene
Wow! Congratulations! I see lots of baby room pics in your future pinning:) Love the pic of your ultrasound...keep posting them. They make for great gray scale art too (you know, for that baby room decor, lol).
ReplyDeleteHA! I should be so lucky to have a room to decorate for a baby! That's probably at the top of the "reasons to freak out" list. Where in the heck are we gonna put a baby?!
ReplyDeleteCongrats mommy!! So happy for you. :) Love to read your thoughts and your awesome pics of your garden and yummy dishes. Guess I am a bit of a stalker lol :) Keep up the awesomeness that is you!
ReplyDeleteThank you Karrie!!!!
ReplyDeleteWow! That's really awesome! Congratulations and big..distant hug to you on your new blessing! I loved your comment about the stalkers too! Funny girl!;0D
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!! I love my stalkers. :o)
ReplyDeleteRoom? Did I say room? No, not necessarily a baby room, but a baby space. There are LOADS of ideas out there for making a place in your house for the 'baby space'. I've seen several great ideas on pinterest lately. My first born got a room; the second boy got his own space....just a corner of the room, lol, but I made it his own and he loves it. So don't freak out about it. As creative as you are, I'm sure you'll figure something out.
ReplyDeleteHoly shit! Congratulations! I can't believe that I just saw you on my sidewalk today. It must have been a hard secret to keep. I am a hugger. I know you are not. You are lucky you got away without a monster hug. Do I need to run over there right now, tears flowing to force a group hug? I don't want to freak out your kids though. I am tearing up with joy for you guys right now. Lots of crying lately (cycle of life), but I am very excited to have a happy reason.
ReplyDeleteI am proud to brag to the others that I only live a few hundred feet away from this fucking genius/awesome friend/incredible person & mom. Purely by coincidence, the father in this equation is a childhood friend (same neighborhood then even!) that I lost track of for 20+ years ago after leaving the home town and only connected with last year thanks to facebook.
OK, composure again... what about that attic expansion we were talking about???
Best. Comment. Ever.
ReplyDeleteLaughing out loud.
