The Butterfly Bush Is Blooming!

A neighbor of mine gave me a piece of her butterfly bush several years ago.  Every year I look forward to it blooming.

Butterfly Bush
(Buddleja)

Clematis 'Sunset'

Rose
(This one was here when I bought the house, so I don't know the name of it)

Geranium

And one of my hydrangeas is finally starting to show some color.

  6. Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! Is that a wrought iron fence I'm seeing?? Do you have posts where it can be seen better? I LOVE wrought iron fencing. Got plans to put some around my fire pit patio...one day. ha.

  7. Beautiful flowers--from your picture, your butterfly bush looks like it might be the variety 'Pink Delight," which has the huge pink panicles. Mine is in bloom right now as well, and is so pretty. The hummingbirds go nuts over this plant!

  8. @Jeannie: We do have a wrought iron gate. There's a picture of it in one of my random 'The Yard' posts. I'll have to poke around and see if I can find which one and I'll let you know. I LOVE it. It was scrap from a tear out our contractor neighbor did. He asked if we wanted it and of course I said yes! He cut it to fit and welded the hinges and lock on for us.

@Athena: Thanks for the name of the Butterfly Bush! I'm writing it down and sticking it in my stash. :o) I have one or two hummingbirds that come around, but the swallowtail butterflies seem to like it.
