Scrap Metal: Before

When the armoire came to live here, there was a little somethin' somethin' that came along with it.  When I saw it being dumped into my driveway, the first words out of my mouth were, "What the hell is that crap?".  And then I was informed.  And then I was excited.  And then I may have received a smart-ass remark from The Dad about the cool new "crap" that he brought me.

Have you seen those metal arbors that Target sells every summer?  They have four corners and a canvas tent over the top.  A gal at The Dad's work had one that apparently was no longer functioning properly.  Bent frame maybe.  She was throwing it away!  Insanity I tell you.  ANYWAY, The Dad clearly knows me waaaay too well, and now all the pieces are at my house.

Here they are:

The Dad is out in the rain, as I type, building me something cool.  And I'm pretty stinkin' excited about it.
Head on back for the big reveal!

  2. I'll be back too for the arbor reveal BUT.....OMG, I love your patio and backyard. I want to see more (please)!!!! Esp. your fence decor. I've got one just like it and was looking for ideas how to decorate it. Sooooo, while you're taking pics of the arbor, how about a few extra of the backyard and patio?

  3. Thanks Shasta! I actually just posted some backyard flower pics a couple minutes ago, but there's a ton more you can find if you click The Yard or Plants category on my sidebar. I can definitely get some closeups of all my "junk" hangin' on the fence though. :o) Unfortunately, it's pouring down rain today, so I haven't been able to get any "after" pics of my fun new metal yard art. Darn Oregon weather.
