Fire, Fire

In my fantasy world, we have a yard big enough for a giant fire pit, with room for seating all the way around it.  

And since it's my fantasy, I was thinkin' somethin' along the lines of this.

Okay, so clearly none of those are in my near future.  I'm still considering doing one - on a smaller scale - but that would mean removing part of the very small amount of lawn we have left.

My sister and her husband just did this in their yard over the weekend.  

That's more along the lines of what I actually have room for.

The point of this whole depressing (to me) post is, we had our first fire of the season last night.  We hauled the metal bowl out, stuck it on the patio and burned, baby burned.  And what would a fire be without s'mores?  I guess it would still be a fire.  Just not as gratifying as one with added sugar.

Here's my crack on a stick.

Prepare to enter my mouth Mr. S'more.

Yep, that is some serious kind of good right there.

It was chilly out, but the sky graced us with a beautiful sunset. 

Here's the sun reflecting off the trees.

Maybe someday I can roast my marshmallows here.
